Description
Opaque Czech seed beads, various sizes and amounts.
Rainbow finish beads are also known as AB (Aurora Borealis) and Iris. This finish is usually on half of the bead and reflects multiple colors for a rainbow effect.
ABx2 denotes a double coating of the AB finish making the effect stronger.
A “lumi effect” on seed beads refers to a special coating or treatment that makes the beads highly reflective and luminous, often achieved by adding a luster coating that creates a brilliant color shift when light hits the bead, essentially making it appear to “glow” or shimmer more intensely than standard seed beads; this is typically associated with Czech glass seed beads where “lumi” indicates a specific type of reflective finish.
- A hank typically has 20 strands
- A half hank typically has 10 strands
- A partial hank may have any number less than 20 strands
- All gram amounts are approximate and usually are packed in tubes. Sometimes there are exceptions.
The larger the bead size, the smaller the bead and the smaller the diameter the hole for a needle and thread to fit through. 10/0 beads are larger than 12/0 beads. Choose needles made to fit the beads you are working with.
