Description
After being believed to be near-extinct, there was a historical sighting of an ivory-billed woodpecker in Arkansas. This set off a motion of events that Margaret Middleton chronicled in a very creative parody to The Battle of New Orleans. The insert read, “When the ivory-bill rediscovery story first broke on NPR in April 2005… I suddenly had this playing in my head”.
“B-side” (amusingly called): After seeing the Discovery channel program… about the news/website video of October 4’s flight I had a hunch there was a song about Space Ship One hiding in the old-time hymn ‘Great Speckled Bird’.
A two-song homemade CD, it was put onto disks that looked like vinyl album in remembering of the 45. With Margaret’s permission, the songs have been put here for you. You can download them for free or choose to pay for them and support the artist.
