From the Artist

Evergreen is an exciting – and unusual – new name on the world stage of Celtic music. Based in the Galilee region of Israel, the band draws inspiration from all strands of the rich Celtic tapestry, and its wide-ranging repertoire is enhanced by many other musical influences, as well as their own original material.

Classically trained musicians steeped in the magic of Irish and other Celtic folk cultures, Evergreen – Michal and Gal Shachar and Eitan Hoffer, were joined in 2001 by Abe Doron, former percussionist of the Riverdance show on New York’s Broadway and world tours. That same year they performed the soundtrack for the successful Israeli movie `The Late Wedding’. The band members are all experienced live performing artists.

2002 saw the release of Evergreen’s first dynamic CD, `Riding Towards Life’. Digitally mastered in SDL Studios, one of the country’s foremost sound studios, it is one of the few independently produced albums accepted for distribution by both Tower Records, Israel and MCI, one of the nation’s largest independent distributors. With twelve tracks running over 55 minutes, this debut album displays the band’s versatility and instrumental virtuos
