A Celtic band from Dublin Ireland, Whirlygig’s performance was praised by the previous huckster. The previous vendor had this to say about this album:
I went to Ireland in November 2000, partially to get WhirlyGig’s new album which had been out for about a month or so at that time. After playing a humongous amount of phone tag with Liam Donohoe, the group’s leader, I finally bought up some copies and brought them home, then started to listen to my copy. To put it mildly, the danged thing is totally different from the first album, and it’s even better. It also didn’t hurt that I met Declan and Eugene, two of the members who had been unable to come over to Atlanta for the Celtic Festival in May.
The members of the band are:
- Liam “the Pony” Donohoe, the band’s leader and guitar player;
- Patrick “the Monkey” Lawless on guitar;
- Declan “the Badger” Quinn on tin whistles, low D and G whistles; and
- Eugene “Egg” Quinn, Declan’s brother, on banjo.
