Description

Mist rises from the frosted grass as the Renaissance Festival participants arrive for another day at the faire. The sun has not risen high as they meander to their booths or the hammered duclimer being tuned juxtaposes with madrigal singers warming up their voices, their breaths visible in the cold air… It’s a new day at the faire.

Southwind Cailidh is not an organized, professional performing group, but rather a loose association of friends with a common love for Renaissance and Celtic music and culture. It’s sometimes a solo or duet or a full-blown ceilidh, however the spirit leads.

Play list: Selinger’s Round, Fine Felt Hat, Brian Boru’s March/Planxty George Barbason/O’Carolan’s Concerto, The Praties are Dug/Marrily Kiss the Quaker/O’Keefe’s Slide, The Butterfly/Swallowtail Jig, Rights of Man, Harvest Home, Wild Mountain Thyme, The Blarney Pilgrim, Morrison’s Jig/Rocky Road to Medley, The Mermaid,l Planxty Irwin,l Queen of Argyle, Nonesuch

1999 release; rare. In original factory seal. Sold as is.
